For our client, company providing services in the pharmaceutical area, we’re looking for Marketing and Commercial Lead – Speciality Care.

 

Key roles and responsibilities:

The Speciality Care Marketing and Commercial Lead position is responsible for implementing in the Therapy Area(s) multiple Partners’ strategies and approaches in marketing effectiveness (aligning local company strategies with Partner strategies, monitoring country implementation), driving commercial effectiveness (SFE, KPI setting & monitoring.

Business Development while working closely with HQ Teams, Partners` Commercial representatives and affiliate Marketing/KAM/BUH/GM.

Teams in execution of above market & also if applicable pre-launch activities for CEE markets and potentially Russia.

The individual will have 1/3rd (33%) focus on Business Development and be able to absorb medical, commercial, access insights and support markets to forecast new products and thereafter support new Partner and product integration to in-market execution following successful completion of Business Development projects.

The individual will have a dual reporting structure, with direct line to COO and dotted line to Corporate Development Department.

Candidate will interact regularly with other functions, including Medical, Compliance, Legal and with the CEO’s office. He/She will oversee and lead the development and execution of current and long-term business plans for CEE markets, while ensuring full alignment with Partners` product and portfolio strategies – including the integrated market access, marketing and sales plans.

The candidate through engagement, positive thinking, cajoling, and open communication will be responsible for building Team in given Therapy Area(s): Allergo-Immuno,Urology,Gynaecology,Contrast imaging,Neurology, OTC (temporary, probably 12-18 months only).
Facilitate cross market and cross franchise learning from best practices. Candidate will also as lead execution of above market customer facing activities to maximize product medical value understanding of HCP Partners. As a member of the Commercial Operating leadership team (TBC), the individual is expected to operate in close coordination and collaboration with HQ Team, in market GMs as well as with in-market Marketing and Sales Teams while partnering with Marketing Leads of Partners. This complex role spanning over all markets as well as all Partners in given therapy area(s) therefore offers a high development opportunity to a preferred candidate driven by passion and spirit to lead through complexity to further grow and develop franchise(s).

Requirements:

  • MD and or advanced degree in life sciences preferred
  • Awareness of medical / biological / pharmacy / life sciences area
  • Extensive commercial experience in more than one market (acquiring, developing, registering, launching, life cycle management) from position BDM, Marketing and Sales Manager in CEE region/Russia
  • A seasoned and well-rounded specialty (preferably with experience in Speciality Care, Retail; RX pharm. experience is a plus
  • 5-10 years experience in biopharmaceutical company
  • Experience in a variety of sales, marketing, market access, business development and/or business unit/sales management and international roles of progressively greater scope
  • Experience with regulatory, reimbursement and access requirements are highly desirable, preferably across more than one market
  • Successful operational management experience with direct responsibility for a team preferred, and a demonstrated track record of delivering top line growth and bottom-line performance
  • Proven command of classic and novel (multichannel) marketing disciplines and techniques. Demonstrated success in commercial planning, launching products. Experience in negotiations with advertising and media agencies, DTC campaigns, Pharmacy chain management is a plus . during first year when OTcs may also be included in position description
  • Experience from working collaboratively and cross-functionally with marketing brand teams, market research, sales, finance (pricing) medical affairs and regulatory.
  • Broad knowledge of not only the pharmaceutical industry but detailed medical knowledge (even if not a MD), and specific expertise in multiple therapeutic areas.
  • Strong presentation skills, both in writing, PowerPoint and as a public speaker
  • A result-oriented individual, with a participative, high energy style, strong personal work ethic, intense focus on results and a bias toward action. Establishes clear expectations, objectives and priorities. Sets aggressive but achievable goals and consistently delivers. Diligently monitors progress and proactively addresses variances. Highly decisive and action oriented.

  • Fluent in English and Czech/Slovak language
  • Readiness to travel within CEE 1-3 days per week
  • Strong curiosity about other countries, people and healthcare systems
